Her journey to a chapter leader:
I attended my own Deeper Still retreat in Spring of 2012. Jesus met me in ways I didn't even know I needed Him to! Initially I was terrified when I realized my retreat was co-ed, however I will never forget the privilege of hearing the men's hearts that had also been wounded by abortion. Their healing was mine too in a way that I am not sure I can describe. I realized abortion wounds deeply affect men and that it all matters so much to Jesus!

At my retreat, I no longer felt invisible, unknown, or unloved! I encountered God's abundance in Jesus Christ in ways that I did not know was possible and it changed everything for me. I encountered the kingdom of God and as a result, did not leave the same person I was as when I first came. It was my starting point for becoming a new creation in Christ that I am still practicing today. Forsaking the old and becoming new definitely takes daily practice. In 2016, at a Heaven 2 Earth prayer and worship event, I heard the Holy Spirit's whisper within: "Kimberly, you will be doing this in Kingsport." I wish I could tell you that I was excited and immediately said, "yes, Lord!" Four years later I can tell you that He was absolutely sure about it even when I was not. In the four year waiting period, He began to rearrange the circumstances of my life and rearrange the priorities of my heart. He began to remove obstacles and barriers within me and my thinking. He began to tear down and rebuild a new capacity for life...real, abundant life. It has been painful and purposeful- so worth it! I am humbled to know in a deeply personal way that Jesus takes our worst chapters and makes them our greatest victories.
