For more than 37 years, I carried the hidden weight of my abortion in silence, along with shame, grief, and questions that followed. Outwardly, life looked full and beautiful. My husband Pete and I built a strong marriage and raised two wonderful sons. Yet beneath the surface, I struggled with anxiety, depression, anger, increasing misuse of alcohol, and a persistent sense of unworthiness. When I attended my Deeper Still retreat, God began lifting that burden in ways I never imagined possible. The healing I experienced truly impacted our marriage, family, and future.

God has given me peace about my unborn daughter, whom I have named Grace. I believe part of her legacy is the freedom God is bringing through our story and His calling to help others find hope and restoration.

Even before attending my retreat, I sensed God prompting me to help bring this ministry to the Twin Cities and surrounding five-state area. At that time, the nearest chapter was more than four hours away, and across much of the northern United States west of the Mississippi River there are still no chapters available.
